NNormal Tomir Overview
From one of the biggest names in ultra running, comes one of the newest brands to the sport. When Killian Jornet announced his new brand NNormal. There were a lot of questions about what type of shoes and gear they would be releasing. And when it would be coming to the market. Making the list for this initial launch is the NNormal Tomir . A trail running and hiking shoe design to be fashionable and functional.
Released in three different models, original, waterproof, and waterproof boots. They all feature the same aggressive 31mm / 23mm stack. Giving the Tomir an 8mm drop for a fast and cushioned stance. While sitting on aggressive 5mm lugs. And they have added a good amount of rear crash pad to make those downhills a lot more comfortable. In its initial release the brand has released two colors for each model. But I can imagine more coming out if the model catches on.
The waterproofing membrane in the waterproof models claims to be water and wind resistant. And it is perfect for those living in colder climates where you sweat less and might find snow on the trail. I think the boot takes this to the next level. Providing higher protection while being geared more for hiking than trail running.

Conclusion
I feel like introducing the NNormal Tomir was a strong move by the brand. Having never had the opportunity to test them, my first impressions are based on looks and specs. And look wise the brand delivered a good looking shoe for casual hiking and running. With a stylish look and all the features most runners could want. Although, for me white color options is never a color I want for the mountains.
The waterproof model is very intriguing to me. Waterproof shoes don’t represent a very large market in the US. So it will be interesting to see if they continue to carry the line long term. Especially considering it’s a feature on two of the three Tomir models.
As always, if you have a chance to test the NNormal Tomir before me. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
