Performance Review
Sole has established itself as a trusted brand in the treadmill and fitness industry for over two decades in the United States. While their lower models may not boast large color screens and high-tech features, they more than compensate with user-friendly design and longer-than-average warranties. It’s no wonder they are one of the most highly recommended budget treadmill options on the market. So, let’s delve into the comparison between the Sole F63 and F65 models.
Sole F63
One of the initial standout features of the Sole F63 is its size. Considering the price point, I was pleasantly surprised by its spacious design. The treadmill deck feels wider and roomier, providing a stable running platform. Even standing on the treadmill, there’s ample space to place a towel, water bottle, and tablet. Moreover, the overall control layout reminds me of the commercial-grade treadmills I’ve used for years. It may not have all the fancy bells and whistles, but it’s perfect for my needs.
Getting started with your run on the Sole F63 is a breeze, thanks to the straightforward control layout. The running deck is both wide and long, ensuring a stable run, even when running on an incline. The cushioning on the deck is soft and comparable to what you’d find on a gym’s commercial treadmill. While there are softer options available in the market, it’s important to consider the competitive price point.
There are a couple of issues worth mentioning about the Sole F63. Firstly, the length of the side rails could be improved. Extending them by 4-6 inches would provide more room, which can be handy when needed. Secondly, the motor strength might be a concern for heavier runners interested in incline walking or running. However, given the brand’s excellent warranty and reputation, there’s reason to have confidence that it should hold up well.
Sole F65
The F65 is the slightly larger of the two treadmill models. It’s 2 inches wider and 4 inches taller and boasts a higher weight capacity of 350lbs (compared to 325lbs on the F63). Additionally, it features a 2-inch wider running belt, making it exceptionally spacious. The control layout on both models is nearly identical, with the F65 offering a 1-inch larger backlit display.
The Sole F65 offers plenty of room for running, and those extra 2 inches make it feel very similar to a commercial-sized treadmill. This added space can be a significant advantage, especially for larger runners looking to shed some pounds. Both treadmills come equipped with 2.5-inch rollers, and the cushioning on the deck feels similar on both models.
However, my concern with the F65 mirrors that of the F63 – the safety rails could be longer. If you use your treadmill for incline workouts, having ample safety rail length is crucial. On the plus side, the F65 comes with an upgraded 3.25hp motor, which is advantageous for individuals who regularly use the incline function.
Overall, the Sole F63 and F65 offer distinct advantages, with the F65 being roomier and featuring a more powerful motor. However, both models share the common drawback of shorter safety rails for those inclined workouts. Nevertheless, Sole’s reputation and warranty coverage provide reassurance for potential buyers.

Conclusion
When comparing the Sole F63 and F65, there’s a lot to appreciate about both treadmills. In truth, they share many similarities. The F63 is a tried-and-tested machine, boasting an exceptional warranty, all at a price point that sets it apart from many other brands.
Then, there’s the Sole F65, a treadmill that incorporates all the features of the F63 but in a slightly larger and more powerful form. So, which one should you choose?
Which Treadmill Should You Buy?
For my money, I’d opt for the Sole F63. It fulfills all my basic treadmill requirements, boasts an outstanding reputation, and comes with an even better warranty. However, there are a few scenarios where the Sole F65 might be worth considering. If you’re a heavier runner or walker or if you plan on using the incline feature regularly, you may appreciate the advantages of the extra 2 inches in width and the slightly more powerful motor it offers.
