Hunter McIntyre dominated the race initially, running at a fast pace and building a significant lead. He excelled in the first five workouts, including impressive times in sled push and burpees. However, his performance suffered in the second half as he had to stop for water during the last four runs. Despite this, he finished with a one-minute lead over Alex Roncevic, who secured second place by running a consistent race and achieving the second fastest times on four stations while winning the wall ball station. Roncevic, known for his consistency, achieved his best-ever finish in a World Championship race, adding to his impressive track record of four podium finishes in four HYROX World Championships.
The battle for third place was fierce, resulting in a photo finish between Ryan Kent and Tobias Lautwein. Lautwein, a father of four, emerged victorious and secured the final podium spot. UK athletes Graham Halliday (fifth place) and Michael Sandbach (tenth place) also performed admirably in front of their home crowds.

Lauren Weeks regained the World Champion title she last held in 2021 by breaking the 60-minute barrier with an impressive time of 59.51. She won two stations, came 2nd in four, and maintained a steady pace of approximately 4.10/km. Weeks took the lead early on and never let go, entering the final wall ball station with a 30-second advantage over Megan Jacoby. She held onto her lead, securing the victory.
Megan Jacoby put up a strong fight, starting well and matching Weeks’ pace in the initial stages. However, she couldn’t keep up with the champion in the second half of the race, finishing just shy of breaking the 60-minute barrier with a time of 1.00.23. The podium was completed by Belle McFarlane, who finished in third place with a time of 01.02.11. McFarlane showcased a strong performance in the latter part of the race, winning the sandbag lunges and earning third place in the Wall Balls event. In a surprising outcome, last year’s champion, Kris Rugloski, finished in seventh place.
