With the introduction of the new Spartan Race Deka Series has come their newest event, Deka Strong (or DekaStrong). But what is Deka Strong and how is it different from other DekaFit events? Let’s jump into it!
What is Deka Strong?
In short, Deka Strong is 10 workouts or “Zones” completed back-to-back for time. The is essentially the Dekafit event with out any running. You can read a complete overview of Dekafit here. And since there is no running involved this has allowed Spartan Race to hold this new Deka Series event in locations more central and in the city. Some of the current event locations even include smaller “functional fitness” gyms. You can bet that Spartan Race is hoping to find its place in the Crossfit community with this event.
What are the Deka Strong Workouts/Zones?
There are 10 workout Zones, here they are:
Spartan RAM Squat (30 reps)
Row 500m at damper setting 5
