Wave Dual Pro Overview
After a few hours of research I can tell you that there is not a lot of info released on the 2022 Mizuno Wave Dual Pro. What info I have found has been from translating a few pages from Japanese to English and going through forum and ebay posts. And I have a good idea of what we know for certain about the shoes.
The unique design has initially only been released in Japan. And features a forefoot with a pre-set angle designed for faster running. While being stable enough to feel stable on the ground. They have extended the midfoot area to prove what they call “smooth speed assist”. With the heel of the shoe being cut out to support (force) fore foot contact while running. This is what gives the shoe its unique design. Which the brands say can reduce the strain on your muscles and tendons.
You can get the shoes in two option, the Wave Dual Pro & Wave Dual Pro QTR. The difference between the two model is the shoes sole thickness. With the the Wave Dual Pro having 29 mm and the Wave Dual Pro QTR having 24.5 mm.
Technology – What’s in the Shoe
The forefoot of the shoes has received an upgrade in cushioning to support the runner. Featuring the brand’s “MIZUNO ENERZY LITE” cushion. Allowing the midsole thickness to be less than 25mm.
Inside the 2022 Mizuno Wave Dual Pro also features a reinforced carbon plate. Which we know is the latest and greatest thing in running shoes. So this definitely keeps them competitive with all of the other brands releasing so-called “super shoes”.
With the upper build of the shoe made out of a woven material. Design to breath and be supportive throughout the shoe.

Conclusion
When I first saw them introducing the Mizuno Wave Dual Pro, I wasn’t sure what to think. To be honest, I thought it was a gimmick and my calves hurt just looking at them. But after realizing their intended purpose, primarily for track use, and their inclusion of a carbon plate. I must admit, I’m intrigued. So if anyone would like to send me a pair of these from Japan, I would be forever in your debut! I kid of course. But if you do get a chance to try these out, please let me know in the comments what you think.
