Performance Summary
When comparing the Brooks Ghost vs. Adrenaline, the first thing you’ll notice is how similar these two shoes are. They share the exact same weight for both men’s and women’s models. However, the Adrenaline has a slightly larger drop at 12mm, compared to the Ghost, which has lowered its drop over the years to 11mm. The most significant difference between these two shoes is the addition of “Guide Rails” on the outside to support the arches, as seen in the images below.
The incorporation of Guide Rails into the Brooks Adrenaline is perfect for runners seeking a little added support. If you struggle with ankle roll or experience any pain in your arches while running, these may be an excellent choice for you. On the other hand, if you’re in search of a more neutral shoe, then the Ghost would be the better option for most runners.
In the third image of each set, I’ve overlaid the two shoes, allowing you to see how almost identical they are.
