With races around the world getting back to normal. It’s time to start looking at the 2022 calendar and getting ready for the 2022 OCR World Championship. And for the second year in a row the event will be held at the Stratton Mountain Resort in Vermont, USA. And with the 2021 travel restriction preventing many international athletes from participating. 2022 is looking like a big year for the sport and athletes from all over the world.
Having attended the 2019 race in London I can personally attest to how incredible the championship course can be. It’s one of the hardest yet most rewarding experiences you can have as an OCR racer. And I encourage everyone to attend at least once in their life. And now let’s get to it. Here’s what you need to know about the 2022 OCR World Championship.

2022 Championship Events
100 Meter Championship – September 23-25 2022
Are you ready for back to back to back…. obstacles for an action packed 100 meters? Drawing OCR racers and ninja warriors, this course is not only fun to try it’s by far the best event to watch. With only seconds separating the top athletes. Running in waves of two, this event has times running all three days of the championship. So make sure to sign up early when you get to the venue to get a preferred heat time.
Entry Fee: $45 for Open Waves, $55 for Pro Waves
3k Championship – September 23rd 2022
One of the premier events on OCR. The 3k championship course all out sprint and you can expect it to be fast one of the fastest 3k obstacle courses you will experience. Featuring 15+ obstacles the 3k race will be run on Friday, September 23rd. Just make sure to save some grip for the 15k!
Entry Fee: $100 for Age Groupe & Journeymen, $130 for Pro Waves
15k Championship – September 24th 2022
The grand daddy of them all, the 15k is the biggest race in OCR. Growing over the years and attracting the best racers from all over the world. Featuring 40+ major obstacles, you can expect the number to be closer to 50 not including the hills. Some of the best races from around the send their obstacles to this event, so you can expect everything to be bigger and more technical than a typical OCR race. With the new qualifying rules, everyone can sigh up for journeyman entry. So if you’re looking to experience the toughest OCR course on the planet, this event is for you.
Entry Fee: $200 for Age Groupe & Journeymen, $240 for Pro Wave
Team Relay Championship – September 25th 2022
Get your team ready! The team relay championship features four sections; speed, strength, technique and teamwork. One athlete from each team will complete one specialties, with all three athletes completing the teamwork section together. This is a great way to get out and compete with friends in a way other events don’t allow.
Entry Fee: $255 per team ($85 per-athlete) for Age Groupe, $300 per team ($100 per-athlete) for Pro Wave
5k Charity Open – September 25th 2022
Make your entry fee count by running a 5k course on Sunday. With a portion of proceeds going to charity. Th is a great way to experience the OCR World Championship and many of the feature obstacles in a much less competitive environment.
Entry Fee: $75 per runner

To race in the 2022 OCR World Championship Pro events you will need to qualify. And you can do this at one of the many sanctioned OCR qualifier events around the world.
